Virginia Dale Watson Keyes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and community member, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on October 25, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, Virginia's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to her family, her passion for learning, and her commitment to serving others.

After graduating from Austin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961, Virginia worked for the Social Security Administration.  She pursued her legal education at Baylor University, earning her Juris Doctor degree in 1989. Her exceptional legal skills and compassion for others led her to a distinguished career as an attorney with the Social Security Administration's Office of the General Counsel.

Virginia's true joy, however, came from her family. She married Randy Keyes, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. As a devoted wife, Virginia cherished the time she spent with Randy, sharing their passion for West Coast Swing dancing and exploring new destinations through their travels.

Virginia's legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Lara Lynn Nolen, and her husband, Mike; her son, William Joseph Henderson, and his wife, Rebekah; her stepson, Johnnie Keyes, and his wife, Jennifer; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Justin Cheshire, and his wife Ashton, Ashley and Nicholas Nolen, Connor and Claire Henderson, Christian Lenz and his wife Sarah and Jason Keyes.  Her great grandchildren include Norah and Theodora Cheshire and  Emery Lenz.  Virginia's heart also held a special place for her brother, Danny Watson, and his wife, Dianne, as well as her sister, Linda Parker, and her many loving nieces and nephews.

Virginia's unwavering spirit and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether she was discussing a novel she read, socializing with friends, or singing in her church choir, Virginia's warmth and kindness were a constant source of inspiration. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were blessed to have known her.

A memorial service celebrating Virginia's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas.

Virginia Dale Watson Keyes lived a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
