Vincent J. Ashman, also known as "Tevuk", age 88, of The Colony, Texas passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023.

Vince was born January 12, 1935, in Minersville, Pennsylvania, to Stanley & Anna Ashman. He was married to the love of his life, Rosemary Ashman on January 12, 1963.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Rosemary Ashman, parents Stanley Ashman  and Anna Ashman. Brother; John, sister; Alberta, son; John Ashman.

Vince is survived by his children, daughter; Chrissy Ashman Hancock, wife of Bill Hancock, Jr. (Franklin, TN), son; Vinnie Ashman (McKinney, TX), daughter in law; Joy (John) Ashman (Flower Mound,TX).  7 grandchildren; Trevor, Julia (Chuck), Zach, Christina, Tripp, Macey, Carter; Great grandchildren Millie Rose Castleberry, Maverick Grant Castleberry; sister, Josephine Ashman.

His role as a loving father, grandfather, and husband were always at the center of his life. He always enjoyed traveling, fishing, and being on the dance floor, especially at a Polka festival.

He was a member of the class of 1952 at Minersville high school in Minersville, Pennsylvania.

Vince was a veteran of the Army of the United States of America 1957-1959. SP4(E4)(T).

Vince was a member of the Knights of Columbus : received the honors of the Knighthood degree of the Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas The Apostle, Old Bridge, New Jersey.

After the Army Vince's career as a Mason moved him around to several states. After moving to Texas, he worked for Fox & Jacobs, where he worked his way up to regional management with Fox & Jacobs/Centex homes, until his retirement.

He was involved in many community events; Boy Scouts, ball parks, family parks, senior center, and many more that date back to the early stages of The Colony ,  before they had their own ZIP Code.

Thank you to the many people who offered prayers, support, and provided countless acts of kindness during his illness.

The visitation with the family and friends is 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, July 6 at Mulkey – Mason funeral home. 740 S. Edmonds Ln.
