Veronica "Vonnie" Lois Orr, 67, of Denton, Texas passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. Vonnie was born on November 2, 1956, in Dallas, Texas to Chester and Lois Chappell.

She was baptized at First Baptist church of Lewisville at 8 years old. She graduated from Lewisville High school in 1975 as a Fighting Farmer. She was involved in FFA and enjoyed anything to do with animals. On July 31, 1975, she was united in marriage to James Rick Orr. They have been married for 48 years and enjoyed going to the lake together and spending time in their beautiful backyard.

Vonnie loved her family more than anything. She worked small jobs through the years, but her passion was being a mom and Nana. She loved to spoil her grandkids in any way she could; especially going to Chick-fil-a everyday to get them food. She also enjoyed good old country music, spending time at the lake, tending to her flowers, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by parents Chester and Lois Chappell, mother-in-law Thelma Ruth Collins, in-laws James and Norma Orr, and sister-in-law Susan Gunn.

She is survived by: Husband, James Rick Orr; Daughters, Tammie Studhalter and husband Miles of Corinth, TX, Amanda Hill and husband Joel of Argyle, TX; 7 Grandchildren Taylor Holliman and husband Blake, Austin Husers and fiance Maryanna, Kayli Husers and fiancé Max, C.J. Broadway, Tye Studhalter, and Brooklyn Broadway. 2 Great-grandchildren Nolan Holliman and Aria Jones; She is also survived by her siblings Chet Chappell and wife Shelly, Vikki Morris and husband Mike, Debby Reece and husband Gary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many other special friends and family.

Memorial service will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, TX on Saturday, November 18 at 2 PM Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be sent in Mrs. Orr's name to The Mended Little Hearts Foundation. https://mendedhearts.org/donate/
