Vanice Wells, born December 27, 1945, in Arlington, Texas, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2025, surrounded by her daughter and grand daughter. She was adopted at the age of two by Sybil and Ralph Parker Allen, who lovingly raised her and helped shape the remarkable woman she became.

Vanice dedicated her career to the Lewisville Independent School District, where she worked in the finance office until her retirement. Known for her fearless,take-charge personality, Vanice approached life with a boldness and determination that inspired everyone around her. Her warmth, honesty, and fierce spirit made her a beloved presence in the lives of family and friends.

She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Elaine Jeffcoat, and a loving grandmother to her only granddaughter, Haley Fogarty. Vanice also cherished her four great-grandchildren—Olivia, Caroline, Jordan, and Nolan—who brought her immense joy.

Vanice married the love of her life, Don Scroggins, in 1964. Their bond lasted until his passing in 1998. She later found happiness again with Les Wells, before his passing in 2019.

Vanice's vibrant personality, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. Her legacy of strength and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, May 23rd, at 11:30 a.m. Following the service, friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life and lunch, hosted by her daughter, Elaine Jeffcoat, at Mercury Chop House in Arlington, Texas.
