Trudy Ann York, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 76 in Flower Mound, Texas.  She was born on March 28, 1948, to Carnez and Eunice Helvey in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

After graduating from Pauls Valley High School, Trudy attended Oklahoma State University, where she met the love of her life Dale. Trudy and Dale married August 11, 1967.

Her commitment to supporting others was unparalleled. Trudy spent 25 years working at Marcus High School where she was cherished by many of the staff and students.  Her kindness and love brought immense comfort and support to countless individuals over the years. Whether it be her famous Christmas cakes, hosting a shower or bringing food to a sick friend, Trudy was always thinking of others first.

Trudy found joy in simple pleasures and treasured moments spent with her family. She loved nothing more than attending all of her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Cheering from the sidelines, she became their greatest supporter and source of encouragement.

Trudy is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Dale York, who cherished life together. She also leaves behind her loving children Jeff and his wife Kara, Mark and his wife Nikki,  and Jay and his wife Michele. Trudy's memory will forever be treasured by her grandchildren, Kate Ames and her husband Cody, Elias Haas and his fiancé Hannah, Tyelor York and Breyana, Kylie, Courtney, Addison, Caden, Brody and great grandson Keatyn. Her memory lives on in the hearts of numerous nieces and nephews whom she held close.

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents Carnez and Eunice Helvey and sister Judy Pickard.

Trudy Ann York was a remarkable woman who deeply touched the lives of others with her kindness, warmth and unwavering love. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she made the world a bright place with her beautiful spirit.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024, 2:00 pm, at First Baptist Church, Lewisville. A visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.
