Tommy Gene Overby of The Colony, TX, gained his angel wings on August 24, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Tommy was born in Denton, TX on January 5, 1943. After graduating high school, he set out to live his grand life. He found his passion in the rodeo, riding bulls and clowning. He was always working, but his steadfast devotion was to his family. Along the way, he met his wife, Loris, and became a father to Lillie, Cody, and Savannah.
He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and attending every big and small event for his wife and kids. He loved roller coasters, reading, writing stories, and everything spicy. He loved pulling off a good practical joke and was an amazingly talented artist and woodworker.
He is survived by his wife, Loris; his daughter, Lillie; his son, Cody, and his wife, Ashley; his daughter, Savannah, and her husband, Harold; his five grandchildren, Justin, Kalysta, Skylar, Troy, and Emma; his sister Helen; his sister Billie Sue and her husband, James; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
