Timothy Louis
Ramos
Sep 2, 1975 — Aug 11, 2026
Timothy Louis Ramos, 50, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 11, 2026. Born on September 2, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas, Tim was the son of Inga Mora and Louis Ramos. He graduated from St. Gerard Catholic High School in 1994.
To those who knew him online, Tim was also known as "Rhyno." To Eric, his partner of 25 years, he was simply "Sweetie", "Hubby" or "Honey" —his best friend, constant companion, rock, and the great love of his life.
Tim and Eric first met as friends online while Eric was in college. During one of Eric's early visits, they went to a movie together. Tim later told Eric that during the movie, he caught himself looking over at Eric. Seeing Eric smile made Tim smile, too. After Tim later became single, their friendship grew into something more. They began dating and remained together for the rest of Tim's life.
Tim was Eric's first boyfriend, first partner, and the person he considered his husband. Over 25 years, they built a life filled with laughter, movies, game nights, family gatherings, friendships, inside jokes, and the quiet comfort of simply being together.
Tim was sweet, loving, empathetic, witty, intelligent, thoughtful, and wonderfully sarcastic. Quiet by nature, he had a warm presence that allowed him to connect with people quickly. He made people feel loved, accepted, seen, and safe. If Tim loved you, he would do whatever he could to take care of you.
He also had a playful sense of humor that those closest to him will never forget. Eric and Tim would pretend to smack things out of each other's hands like a cat casually knocking something off the edge of a table. Whenever something stopped working, Tim would look at Eric and announce, "You broke it." It was never an accusation—it was Tim's way of saying, I have no idea how to fix this, so this is now your problem. Eric always knew exactly what he meant.
Tim loved movies, television, anime, science fiction, wrestling, sports, gaming, music, and spending time with Eric. His favorite worlds included Star Wars, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, and Flash Gordon, among many others. Eric introduced him to Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, which quickly became favorites as well.
Music was another important part of Tim's life. He enjoyed alternative rock, grunge, mainstream music, and playing guitar. He shared that love of music with friends as a member of a band called War Criminals, where he had the chance to play guitar and be part of something creative with people he cared about. He was also a San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys fan and had a particular love for shoes—both buying them and watching shoe reviews on YouTube.
Cooking, however, was another story.
Tim liked to joke that he could "burn water" after once putting a pot on the stove, forgetting about it, and returning to discover that all the water had evaporated. The arrival of the air fryer made cooking somewhat safer and considerably easier. He was also famously a picky eater, despite Eric's persistent efforts to convince him to try new things.
For his birthday, Tim especially loved going out for Korean barbecue or to Osaka Sushi & Grill.
Tim loved dogs and dreamed of one day having a bulldog. He and Eric hoped to eventually have a home with a yard so their future dog would have plenty of space to run.
Travel was another dream they shared. Tim loved the culture, food, and anime of Japan. Their first trip there did not go quite as planned, and they often talked about returning someday to experience the country again the way they had hoped. They also looked forward to traveling more and spending additional time with Tim's family in San Antonio.
Tim cherished friendship. Among his lifelong friendships was Arthur Brown, whom he had known since the age of five. Over the years, Tim also built a large circle of friends in Dallas and online who became family—Dungeons & Dragons friends, gaming friends, movie friends, party friends, and people who simply loved spending time in his company.
Tim and Eric were known for the easy way they fit together. Their friends saw in them a devotion that was peaceful, affectionate, balanced, genuine, and without pretense. They were the kind of couple who made other people feel welcome and reminded those around them of what a lasting partnership could look like.
Tim's devotion to Eric showed itself most clearly in the moments when Eric needed him. Tim hated hospitals, but whenever Eric had to be in one, Tim was there. His discomfort never mattered as much as making sure Eric did not face those moments alone.
Tim is survived by his beloved partner of 25 years, Eric Endersby ; his sister, Trisha Ramos Campos and her husband, Gilbert Campos; his brother, Andrew Ramos and his wife, Jessica; his aunts, Teresa Mora and Shirley Gonzales ; his nieces, Clarissa Roach and Janay Ramos ; his nephews, Jack Ramos, Andrew Ramos Jr., Jose Ramos, Antonio Ramos, Hunter Ramos, and Jesse Ramos ; numerous cousins; and a wide circle of friends who loved him like family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Inga Mora and Louis Ramos, and his brother, Alex Ramos.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, loyalty, and the remarkable ability to make people feel welcome. Those who knew him will remember his wit, his sweetness, his quirks, his devotion to the people he loved, and the warmth he carried with him.
To Eric, Tim was irreplaceable. If Eric could say one thing to him now, it would be:
"Thank you for your patience with me and for always being supportive."
Tim was an incredible, warm-hearted, funny, and truly rare person—the kind of person you are lucky enough to meet in a lifetime.
He will be deeply loved, profoundly missed, and forever remembered.
Details regarding a celebration of Tim's life will be shared at a later date.
