Timothy Ross Jankord, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away at the age of 71. Tim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Emery and Eleanor (Blando) Jankord, Tim was the second of six children. He was raised in Faulkton, South Dakota and enjoyed playing sports, was involved in band, an avid reader, and loved to cook.

After graduating from high school, Tim enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1970 as a corpsman, then trained as a pharmacy technician before being assigned to Yokosuka Naval Hospital in Japan. During his second tour, he applied and qualified for nuclear submarine service as an independent duty corpsman. Chief Petty Officer Timothy Jankord retired in June 1993 from Bangor Naval Submarine Base in Washington State after serving his country for over 22 commendable years with honor and dedication.

In addition to his military service, Tim volunteered his time at Breidablik Elementary School in Poulsbo, WA to help struggling students and taught CPR to the community. He also followed his love of culinary arts and managed multiple kitchens and cafés until fully retiring in 2010.

Tim was known for his kind and compassionate nature. He had a warm smile and a gentle demeanor that endeared him to all who knew him. Tim will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Timothy Jankord is survived by his wife Tina (Pasking) of 48 years; son Emery (Lorrie) Jankord II; daughter Jennifer (Marty) Evans; grandchildren: Xavier, Christina, and Noah. He is also survived by brothers: Gregg (Robin), Mark (Lorrie), Jay (Sam); sister Mona (Terry) Stoner; brothers-in-law: Jensen (Julia) Pasking, Nico (Alice) Pasking, Marciano Pasking, Norbert (Carol) Pasking; sisters-in-law: Felicidad (Venancio) Balos, Rose (Walter) Adais, Marieloure (Tony) Bogan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Alan.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Tim's life and his service to our country.
