Thomas Sanchez Ybarra passed away suddenly on Monday, October 9, 2023. Thomas was was born February 12,1960 in Midland, Texas to Eliseo and Francis Ybarra.

Thomas was undeniably a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Thomas was known to help any family member, friend or Coworker when asked and was eager to volunteer even when not. One of Thomas' greatest qualities was his ability to be there for you no matter the circumstance.

Thomas had a smile that demanded a smile back despite your current mood. Thomas had a huge love for his family, friends, the outdoors, good food and his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

When Thomas spoke, he could be heard from any angle of a room and that voice was always accompanied by laughter and happiness. He had various jobs and worked for numerous companies where he always made friends and memories.

Thomas was a member of Main St. Church of Christ in Lewisville for over 20 years. Thomas is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elva Hernandez Ybarra; sons, Robert Castillo and wife Sandra Castillo, Paul Anthony Ybarra and wife Angel Drewett-Ybarra; Thomas Ybarra Jr.; granddaughters, Taisha Harris, Halie Salinas Castillo, Haley Drewett, Kylie Drewett. Kylie Ybarra and grandsons; Christopher Castillo, Isaiah Ybarra, brothers; Eliseo Ybarra, Abraham Ybarra; sisters Emma Sanchez, Esmeralda Moore, Delia King and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Thomas is preceded in death by his son Edward Olguin and his daughter, Tiffany Kaufman.

Memorial service will begin at 11:00am and officiated by Brother Ben Lee on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:30am to 11:00am at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.
