Thomas Wesley Wing

August 25, 1954 – June 3, 2024

Thomas Wesley Wing, 69, of Flower Mound, Texas, graduated to Glory on June 3, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1954, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Tom was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and soon-to-be great grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tom married the love of his life, Carol Sue (Pearson) Wing, on May 24, 1975, while in Bible college in Indiana. Their love and commitment to the Lord and to each other were evident throughout their 49 years of marriage. Tom was involved in Christian ministry and Christian education for most of his adult years and trained his children in the ways of the Lord. His children are all currently involved in Christian ministry and Christian education.

Tom is survived by his wife, Carol Wing, and their four children: Donna (David) Crews of Jacksonville, Florida; Cindy (Carl) Johnson of Ribeirão Preto, Brazil; Angela (Lukas) Ebsen of Lewisville, Texas; and Steve (Andrea) Wing of Springfield, Tennessee.

Tom is also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Jason Crews, Brianna Crews, Derek Crews, Andrew Johnson, Carol Ann (Rodrigo) Pimenta, Luke Johnson, Mike (Cheyenne) Wallace, Katie (Kenan) Mandawe, Tim Wallace, Roseanna Ebsen, Jacob Ebsen, Jocelyn Wing, and Garrett Wing.

Tom is survived by his sisters, Sherri McBride of Joplin, Missouri; and Paula (Richard) Wallace of Lewisville, Texas; his brother, Jim (Robin) Wing of Heber Springs, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wesley Wing; his mother, Jean Marguerite Wing; his sister, Gloria Dawn Wing; his brother-in-law, John McBride; and his sister-in-law, Carol Rin Wing.

Tom loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his most recent trip to Brazil for his granddaughter's wedding in March.

Tom was a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church of Lewisville, Texas, where he served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. Tom will be remembered for his warm heart, contagious personality, generous spirit, and love for Christian music, airplanes, and his family.

The family will receive friends and family members at a visitation on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM with the funeral service to celebrate Tom's life at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church of Lewisville, Texas, located at 602 Manco Road. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Stephen Phillips of Liberty Baptist Church of Lewisville, Texas. Tom's brother-in-law, Dr. Richard L. Wallace of Temple Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas, will deliver the eulogy.

Tom's favorite Bible verses were Philippians 3:10, "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Jeremiah 33:3, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Tom's favorite songs were "My Saviour First of All," "Tell Me the Story of Jesus," "Saved, Saved, Saved," and "Great is Thy Faithfulness."

Tom's family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
