Sylvia Caryl Wilson Motta, 92, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026 at her residence in Argyle, Texas.

Born on March 23, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to German/Austrian immigrants, Sylvia lived a full life dedicated to her family and her faith. With their sense of adventure, she and her first husband, Bob, raised four adventurous children, introducing them to the wilderness areas of Colorado and other beautiful areas of America. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and was an accomplished artist, teaching china painting for decades, even internationally, touching many with her creativity and patience.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert (Bob) Wilson, her second husband, Arthur (Art) Motta, and her son William (Bill).

She is survived by her children, Greg (Sandy), Kevin (Susan), Robin (Steve), eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

As per their wishes, Sylvia and Bob’s ashes will return to the earth in Colorado. A celebration of life will be scheduled for summer 2027.
