Sue, a loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2024. She was born in Waco, Texas on July 13th, 1941, to her parents Hubert Lee Cherry and Opal (Maricle) Dale.

While living in Waco, Texas, Sue met the love of her life, Buddy, who was stationed at Connally Air Force Base. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. After Buddy was discharged from the Air Force, they settled in the DFW area, where Sue poured her heart and soul into her photography business, Susan's Portraits, and operated a loving at-home daycare. Her passion for capturing life's precious moments and nurturing young hearts was evident in every aspect of her work.

Sue was a devoted and dedicated mother, and her children were her entire world. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She made every effort to attend every grandchild's game, color guard performance, and other important events. She created a warm, inviting home filled with laughter and love, where everyone felt welcome. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and the home became the center of holiday celebrations.

Sue's faith was the cornerstone of her life, she was a prior member of Lakeland Baptist Church for many years and current member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville. She was a shining example of God's love, and her kindness, generosity, and compassion inspired all who knew her.

Sue and Buddy shared a love of traveling, exploring new places, and visiting with family and friends. Their adventures took them to many exciting destinations and always enjoyed taking the scenic route, but it was the time spent with loved ones that brought them the greatest joy.

In March 2024, Sue discovered her breast cancer had returned. With the help and support of many (Randy, Vicky, and all her grandchildren) – most especially Penny, who stayed by her side in the hospital – she fought until the Lord called her home.

Sue is survived by son Randall W. Beauchamp of Flower Mound, daughter Penny J. (Beauchamp) McCracken of Fort Worth, and beloved niece Vicky Laine of Williamsburg VA. Grandchildren are Jason (Kimberly), Bethany, Ian (Lissete) and Aaron McCracken and Claire, Caroline, and Corban Beauchamp; Great grandchildren Sophia and Junior; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Buddy W. Beauchamp, son, Michael D. Beauchamp, father Hubert Lee Cherry, mother Opal (Maricle) Dale, sister Janice L. Griffin, brother Noel Cherry.

Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Sue is now resting in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by the love and glory of heaven, and reunited with her loved ones. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire and guide us in the days ahead. Her love and light will be cherished forever.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2024, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
