Sidney Eric Ramsey, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born on August 11, 1952, in Miles City, Montana, Sid grew up with a deep appreciation for faith, family, and the simple joys of life—values that guided him throughout his years.

A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Sid's faith was the center point of his life. His belief in his Lord and Savior shaped the way he loved others, treated everyone with kindness, and walked through trials with unwavering strength. In his passing, Sid rejoices in being reunited with his beloved wife, Brenda Ramsey, who went before him and awaited him in the presence of their Savior. He was also the cherished son of Joyce and Eric Ramsey, who preceded him in death.

Sid is survived by his loving siblings, Vada Robles of Justin, Texas, and David Ramsey of Forney, Texas. Sid's greatest pride and joy were his daughters, Jennifer Gulick (Clay) of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Rachel Alanis (Raul) of Flower Mound, Texas. His heart expanded even further with the arrival of his grandchildren—Andrew Mayfield, Sarah Mayfield, Brendan Alanis, and Austin Alanis—each of whom brought him immense joy. Nothing made Sid happier than spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, music, and life lessons. A man of many passions, Sid enjoyed playing the guitar, attending church, keeping up with the world on Fox News, tending the barbecue pit, and writing poetry. But above all, he treasured family—both immediate and extended. The closeness he shared with his cousins and their families was a source of comfort, pride, and lifelong happiness.

Sidney Eric Ramsey leaves behind a legacy of faith, warmth, humor, loyalty, and love. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit lives on in the music he played, the words he wrote, the faith he lived out, and the family he adored. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, 11:00 am, at Mulkey-Mason Chapel, Lewisville, Texas. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.
