Shirley Diane Rector, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home on October 12, 2023.

A loyal wife and mom, Shirley excelled in creating the life of her dreams. Shirley Rector was born in Littlefield, Texas and remained in Texas, where she married the love of her life and raised their family. A successful nursing home administrator for many years, she also graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. This was a proud accomplishment that she worked hard to achieve after retirement and while fighting cancer. Shirley loved soaking in all that life had to offer- travel, dancing, picnics, volunteering and social gatherings with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Dale, daughter Teresa Lensch and stepson Dusty Rector; sisters Bertha Eberle and Rosie Shocklee-Carter; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded by her daughter Pamela Stevenson (who we know greeted her with warm, open arms); brother Bob Westmoreland and sister Jan Mavrikos.

Shirley's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2:00pm.
