Scott William Campbell, 61, of Argyle, TX departed the earthly world December 2, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer and liver disease. He was born on November 23, 1962 and adopted by the late Sara and William Campbell in Buffalo, NY, where he lived for many years before his time spent in Florida and later Texas, where he will now be laid to rest.

Scott leaves behind his wife, Theresa Delbou; daughters Emily Carpenter and Alma Brynn Campbell; sister Lisa Tidwell; and step-daughter Suzanne Suttles. He was also "Pops" to a granddaughter, Delta Carpenter, whose smile and extension of his legacy he cherished. His family is comforted in that Pops will watch over and guide Delta from afar.

Scott was both brawn and brains: in his early career, he was a left-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins. When he retired from Major League Baseball, he entered the world of business as an electrical engineer with post-graduate training and held key positions at Exide, Montgomery Ward and most recently Mercedes-Benz, where he was committed to his role as a technical trainer, and where he forged many strong friendships with his colleagues.

Scott also cared deeply about our military (for which his son-in-law serves as active duty Space Force). Among other efforts to support our servicemen and women, Scott and wife Theresa donated their time to Folds of Honor, a non-profit that raises scholarship funds for children of deceased veterans.

Scott was a thoughtful man who excelled at trivia – a favorite hobby –  just as much as he excelled at raising Boxers. His caring and attentive nature made him as good at woodworking as he was at raising animals. He created cutting boards as gifts and beautiful pieces of furniture that exceeded department store quality. He leaves behind dogs Nattie and Harley Quinn, who worshiped him (especially when he presented snacks, which he enjoyed as much as they did) and two cats, Darcy and Snowflake.

Funeral services for Scott will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, located at 740 S. Edmonds Lane in Lewisville, TX.

Survivors of Scott are deeply grateful for the love and support that extended family, friends, and coworkers shared with Scott as he weathered his last battles with illness. Scott was unforgettable and already missed by all who crossed his path.
