Sandra Fae Hildebrand, Shearer, Whitworth, Timmerman, Rathheim, Timmerman passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023. She was born on September 24, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Byron Neil and Sybil Hightower Hildebrand. They were divorced when she was six months old but both were remarried for many years. Byron remarried to Jean Alice Reese and had two children: Lisa Kay, married to David Harris of Texas and Byron Neil Jr (Butch), married to Susan from New York. Sybil remarried to Loyd Barrow who had a daughter: Nancy Coons.

Sandra grew up in the DFW area where she attended school at Hockaday and graduated high school in Fort Worth. She attended the University of Texas in Austin. While she lived in several places, her adult years were mainly spent in Carrollton, The Colony, Lewisville area.

Sandra was married four times. Her first marriage was to David Charles Shearer, they had two children: David, Jr. and Shanna Louise. They divorced after 21 years. She then married Joe Bob Whitworth, she claims because he smelled good and would take out the trash. Those turned out to be his only good qualities, so she had that annulled. She stayed single for several years before her 12-year marriage to Joseph Timmerman (Papa Joe). Her next marriage to Gerald (Jerry) Rathheim was brief. She said this was her worst divorce and there are many stories about it, including stealing back her car with some of her granddaughters!

She was active with her kids and grandkids. She was a lifetime member of the PTA and served as councilwoman on the first city council of The Colony, mayor pro-tem, Director of the municipal utility district as well as President of the board. At a board meeting in September 2023, the city council will present to her family a memorial proclamation for all her services in The Colony.

Her greatest accomplishments are her children. She enjoyed her grandkids most of the time except when she had to put them on the timeout potty. She even hosted a weeklong summer camp when they were younger. She enjoyed spending time with her 7 great grandkids. She spoke very fondly of all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids and would often say they are very smart. She loved old movies because, as she would say, they were not old when she first viewed them. She had a very extensive DVD collection. Her favorite songs were " I did it my way" by Frank Sinatra and "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston, which she would often sing to her grandkids. She also liked gospel songs with Elvis, and almost anything by George Strait, or Willie Nelson. Sandra loved to read books by Sandra Brown, Danielle Steel & James Patterson.

Preceded in death by her parents: Loyd & Sybil Barrow, Byron & Jean Hildebrand, grandparents: Sarah and Hubert Hightower, Lelia & Paul Hildebrand, brother-in-law: Larry Coons, many other family members and her previous husbands: David Shearer Sr, Joe Bob Whitworth, Joe Timmerman, Gerald (Jerry) Rathheim.

Survived by her 2 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren:

Her son, David Jr had two children with his first wife: Ashley Nicole, and Christopher (Chris) David. Ashley was married and had her 1st child, Bryson David Wayne Thompson and with Anthony (Tony) White had a 2nd child, Brantley Christopher White. Chris Shearer and Bailey Cameron have a son, Raiden David Shearer. David Jr is now married to Sandra Houston Shearer.

Her daughter, Shanna married John Michael Street and had 5 children: Jessica Marie, Stephanie Erin, Miranda Louise, Jason Michael, and Mikayla Nicole.  Jessica married Justin Holub and they have 2 boys: Callahan Levi and Stetson Ray. Stephanie married John Esparza and they have 2 daughters: Zaylee Layne and Zanellee Rayne with another girl due in January 2024. Miranda married Serge Backes and lives in California.

Other family members include: her sisters and brothers: Byron Neil Jr (Butch) & Susan Hildebrand, Lisa and David Harris, Nancy Coons and her 3 children: Harley, Nicole, Aaron, and her aunt and uncle Rusty and Peggy Hightower.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, 10:00 am, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, 75067.  Colorful casual wear is encouraged.
