With heavy hearts, we sadly announce that Sallie Lu Sandifer went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 4th, 2026. She was 94.

Born Sara Lourilla Jameson April 19, 1932, in Santa Anna, Texas to Ann Bertrade and James Oren Jameson.

She was one of three girls. Growing up in Shreveport, LA, she tragically lost her father at the young age of 10. Growing up during the depression, Sallie, along with her mom and sisters found a way to make it work. It was tough, but they did it. This family bond stayed with Sallie her entire life, always doing her very best for her family.

She attended school in Shreveport, LA which is where she met the love of her life, Rex Elton Sandifer. They joined hands and were married on July 2, 1955.

Sallie was an Air Force wife and supported Rex throughout his military career as they were stationed at several different bases. She raised 3 kids and didn't let the struggles of the military life get in her way.

After Rex's military career they settled down in Lewisville, TX and later moved to Lake Fork, Denton and Highland Village, TX.

She will be remembered for her strength, support and her love of family.

Sallie was preceded in death by her parents Ann and James Jameson, siblings Ann Miller and Nanci Carlisle, husband Rex Sandifer, nieces Heidi Smith, Karen Monroe, and nephews Glenn and Don Miller.

She is survived by children Christy Dill, Clay and Jess Sandifer, daughter-in-laws Debbie and Traci Sandifer, niece Kelli Guess and nephews Kevin Monroe and Kenn Miller. She also had 8 Grandkids and 12 Great Grandkids.
