Sage Elyse Springer was born on October 1, 2020 and passed away on November 13, 2023. Sage was born in Ft. Worth to parents, Emma and Hayden Springer. Sage was prenatally diagnosed with Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome), a genetic condition caused by the presence of a third copy of the 18th chromosome. Sage was a warrior; she began defying the odds at birth. She continued to fight, proving herself to be a candidate for a vital heart repair surgery. Her recovery wasn't easy, but she persevered. Sage radiated joy and happiness to everyone around her, even those she never had an opportunity to meet. She worked hard at therapy and always looked good doing it. She had an outfit for every occasion! Her smile was contagious. Sage was a beacon of God's love and hope on earth. She loved to be around everyone, especially her family. She was a proud Big Sister, always willing to play, even when Annie tried to pull her trach. Her favorite toys had lots of lights and colors. She always had time for an episode of Rainbow Rangers and welcomed nap time cuddles from her family, friends, and nurses. Sage was a gift from God. The 3 years we spent with her were a blessing and her legacy will live on forever.

Services will take place at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane Lewisville, TX 76067. Visitation will take place on November 20 from 6-8 pm. Funeral will take place November 21 at 10-11 am. Graveside burial at Roselawn Memorial Park following escort from Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. The Springers ask that guests wear pink in honor of Sage.

Sage is survived by her parents, and sister, Annie Claire of Justin, TX; her grandparents, David and Victoria Ballard of Kingwood, TX and Jennifer and Neyland Springer of Trophy Club, TX; aunt, Beth Ann Myers (Justin) of Medina, OH, aunt, Hannah Ballard of Boulder Creek, CA and aunt, Allyson Springer Baum (Matthew) of Trophy Club, TX, and cousins, Nolan and Scarlett Myers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Extra To Love, www.extratolove.org, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Sage's parents to assist families caring for their family member with Trisomy 13 (Patau Syndrome) or Trisomy 18 (Edwards Syndrome).
