Ruth Louise Curry

Ruth Louise Curry, 86, died October 3, 2026 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Flower Mound after a brief illness. She was born on September 13, 1940 in Chelsea, Oklahoma and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1958.

Ruth lived in Lewisville,Texas and was an active member at First Lewisville United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, stating that her family was her greatest accomplishment.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Lisle and Louise Wallingford, her brother Wally Wallingford, and her husband Gene Curry. She is survived by brother and sister-in–law Ben and Josie Wallingford, her son and daughter-in-law Troy and Janiece Carter, daughter and son-in-law Michele and Ron Anderson, step-son Edward Curry, grandchildren Ryan Carter, Daniel Carter, Erin Anderson Jones, Sarah Anderson, and her 6 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. on October 17th at First Lewisville United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Lewisville United Methodist Church.
