Ronnie "Ron" Lee Gross of Denton, Texas, passed away on July 25th, 2025, surrounded by the people he loved most at his home. After 67 years of spreading love and wisdom, he made his journey to his heavenly home with the Lord.

Ron was proudly born in Bristol, Tennessee, on July 26th, 1957, as the youngest of 4 children to Wyndom Gross and Elizabeth Gross. As a child, he was known to have a stubborn and rebellious nature, but a good spirit. He used that strong personality throughout his life to make numerous accomplishments, pushing him further towards his aspirations.

Ron enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1986. He spoke very fondly of the many beautiful countries he was able to visit during his time in the military, specifically the ones where he could see the northern lights. After over 10 years of service, he was honorably discharged. He then began his career at SSC Service for Education where he worked for over 25 years and retired as a Regional Manager. Being naturally industrious, he enjoyed spending his time working on his passion for woodworking, renovations, and trying his best at gardening with his wife's help.

He valued hard work, honesty, and above all, family. They meant everything to him, and he ensured everyone knew his love for them. The first to experience his fatherly love was Joy Altebaumer, born in Tennessee. Ron prioritized her well-being and safety by moving to whatever location she was in and trying his best to navigate his new role as a father. Years later, what was supposed to be a short work trip to Texas for SSC ended up turning into a twist of fate where he met his future wife and children. Creating an unbreakable bond, he decided to expand his family and married his wife, Ledenis Gross, on September 29th, 2012. Adopting his children a few years later in 2016, after longingly anticipating it. He was a dedicated husband and family man who prioritized his marriage and raised his children with love, integrity, and humor. He always worked and strived to provide his family with opportunities that he didn't have growing up. Blessing his children with a wonderful childhood and always proudly bragging about their interests, adventures, and accomplishments, regardless of how minuscule they may have seemed.

As a man of deep faith, Ron was a long-time, proud member of Hickory Creek Baptist Church, where his funeral will be held. He served in various capacities, offering his heart, time, and hands to his church and congregation.

Words cannot due justice to the devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend he was. He was preceded in death by numerous loved ones, who welcomed him at the doors of heaven. His legacy is left behind to his wife, Ledenis Gross, and their 5 children, Joy Altebaumer, Joselin Gross, Leybin Gross, Brayam Gross, and Yazmin Gross. As well as the large community of treasured loved ones he served so faithfully, notably his 6 grandchildren and 2 spoiled "puppies" MacKenzie and Ziva.

His wish is that you all walk in God's light, so instead of a goodbye, we part with hope of future re-encounter, not finality. Thus, it is with heavy hearts that we release our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend into the arms of his Heavenly Father.
