Roneldon "Ron" Bauman of Flower Mound, TX, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born on April 22, 1945, in Elkton, MI, to Stanley and Jean Bauman. He grew up in a home filled with love, music, and the laughter of his six siblings. The Bauman family was exceptionally gifted in music, traveling across the state to share their talents.

Ron carried this passion for music into college at Central Michigan University. He was a proud member of the marching band and the TKE fraternity, while earning his business degree. It was there that he met the love of his life, Kathleen "Kay" Ongena. They married in August 1966 and built a beautiful life together.

Ron and Kay cherished family and quickly grew their own, welcoming four children between 1967 and 1974. Ron excelled in the business world, and with Kay by his side, the family moved from Michigan to Illinois before taking a leap of faith in 1979 and settling in Texas. They settled down in their forever home in Flower Mound, becoming deeply involved in their community and forming lifelong friendships. In 1985, with their own blood sweat and tears, Ron and Kay founded Ron Bauman & Associates. Ron made a lasting impact on the wholesale gift sales industry.
Their love for adventure led them to travel across the country and abroad, exploring Germany, Paris, Switzerland, Ireland, and many incredible places in the U.S. When not traveling, Ron and Kay could always be found cheering on their grandkids at sporting events, concerts, and plays—nothing brought Ron more joy than his family.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Kay; his children, Kelly (Brian) Sapp, Kevin (Aubyn) Bauman, and Kari (Chad) Beauchamp; his beloved grandchildren, Taylor (Kelsey) Dierke, Cheyenne (Shelby) Bauman, Lane (Stephanie) Dierke, Macey Bauman, Kailyn (Kain) Cox, Karsyn Beauchamp, Greelie Bauman, and Kamden Beauchamp; and his great-grandchildren, Graham and Cole Bauman and Emmett and Ty Dierke. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, in-laws, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death and welcomed home by his son, Kurt Bauman; his parents, Stan and Jean Bauman; and his in-laws, Ted and Nellie Ongena.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 4:00 PM at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX 75067.
