Ronald Royce Owens, age 85, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Flower Mound, Texas. Ron was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Royce Byron Owens and Opal Owens on August 30, 1940. In high school, Ron played football, baseball, and was on the wrestling team. Ron graduated from California Baptist University where he was in drama and on a traveling evangelism team. Ron married Linda Darlene Sewell on May 30, 1964 in Riverside, California. They were married for 61 years. He worked in management for different businesses during his professional life. In his personal life, he loved his family, reading his Bible, singing and dancing, going to church, joking around every chance he could, and jogging every morning.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Owens, his son, Matthew Owens, his sister-in-law, Judy Owens, and his parents.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Melinda Weber, his son, Daniel Owens, his grandchildren, Evelyn Weber, Brielle Owens, Annabelle Weber, and James Owens. Ron is also survived by his brother, Terry, brother-in- laws, Larry Sewell,  Ronald Sewell, and Bill Weseloh. Ron is survived by his sister-in-laws, Nancy Sewell, Cindi Sewell, and Cathy Weseloh. Ron is also survived by nieces and nephews, Charles Sewell, David Sewell, Theressa Harris, Kevin Sewell, Byron Owens, and Michael Sewell as well as their spouses and children.

Ron's memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 3:30 pm. The service will be located at Mulkey-Mason funeral home located at 740 Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX 75067. Pastor David Jenkins will be officiating.
