In Loving Memory of Robert Earl Warner (January 2, 1947 - March 25, 2024)

Robert Earl Warner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, nephew, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. At 77 years old he leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and determination that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

Robert was born on January 2, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Leslie Earl Warner and Alma Berniece Warner. He spent his early childhood in Tovey, Illinois, and later moved to Clinton, Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life, Thelma Jeanne Swanson. They were married on May 2, 1964, at his parent's house in Clinton where they embarked on a journey that would span over 59 beautiful years.

In his professional life, Robert was a man of many talents and worked in various jobs such as a baker and a barber. However, it was his role as a Maintenance Supervisor for York International where he dedicated 29 years of service. His commitment and bravery on the job were recognized when he received a prestigious award for outstanding support from the 25th Governor of Oklahoma, Francis Keating.

Robert was also devoted to his family and faith, and he touched many lives through his involvement in multiple organizations. He was a dedicated Prison Chaplain in Oklahoma, a proud Patriot Guard Rider, and a Freemason at the Masonic Lodge in Noble, Oklahoma. During his retirement, he served as a crossing guard for the Lewisville Independent School District, embodying his commitment to serving others.

His passion for his faith was evident to all who knew him. Robert was an ordained minister and deacon, always eager to share the message of Christ's love with those around him. His fearlessness and determination were unmatched, and he approached life with an unwavering spirit and energy.

Beyond his professional and charitable endeavors, Robert had a zest for life. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, painting cars, practicing martial arts, playing drums, and traveling the world.

Robert is survived by his wife, Thelma; his four children, Lonny and Kim Warner of Lewisville, Texas; Rita and Jeff Linch of Flower Mound, Texas; Ronald and Maggae Warner of Owasso, Oklahoma; and Donald and Amy Warner of Flower Mound, Texas; his two siblings, Roy Warner and Berniece Ailey; and a host of extended family members, including his cherished uncle, aunts, 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. The funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, March 29, at 10 a.m. also at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. The burial will then take place around 3:30 p.m. at the Noble IOOF Cemetery in Noble, Oklahoma, on Friday.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the ER unit and ICU staff of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound for their exceptional care and support during Robert's final days.

In the blessed assurance of Robert's homecoming to the arms of his Savior, his loved ones find solace knowing he has found eternal peace. May his spirit continue to shine brightly, guided by the everlasting light of Christ.
