Richard Travis "Rocky" Middleton, 72, of Valley View, Texas, a beloved husband, father, papa
and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 18th, 2024 after a hard fought battle with various health issues.

Rocky was born to Bud and Viola Middleton in Rockwall, Texas on August 20, 1952. He
graduated from Grapevine High School. He married the love of his life Cyndia Michele
(Matthews) on August 22, 1987 and she loved him so much that she even married him twice!
Their first date was on the dance floor and they have danced through life with the good and bad
ever since.

Rocky's career expanded from ESB Battery Plant as a union steward in Dallas, TX to a
mechanic, dance instructor and dance contest winner then apartment maintenance until he was
disabled in 1992 following an accident. His last and most important job title was a domestic
engineer of their home, lovingly caring and cooking for all of his family.

In his younger years, Rocky loved riding his candy apple red Harley everywhere he went and traveled the country on it! He greatly enjoyed fishing, tinkering, playing dominoes, coaching, watching, and playing softball endlessly. He has always had a heart for animals. He loved and played with his fur babies, particularly his best friend Jack. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys,
especially when they were winning.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Michele; his daughters Jessica Middleton of
Sanger, TX and Tonya Price of Whitesboro, Texas; eight grandsons; two great-grandsons and
many other beloved family and friends.

Rocky is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Viola Middleton, his son Clint Middleton and his daughter Tracy Lyn Petty.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm with a visitation prior at
2:00 pm, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.

Reverend Dickie Amyx will officiate the services and the Honorary Pallbearers will be his beloved
grandsons: Antonio Guajardo, Michael Blayne Petty, Richard Petty, Tyler Petty, Ryan Price,
Steven Price, Jimmy Price and Collin Price. Private burial will be at a later date at Old Hall
Cemetery.
