Reubin Russell Romines
February 17, 1954 – August 13, 2025

Reubin Russell Romines, known to family and friends as Russ, entered eternal rest on August 13, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Russ was born to Noel and Braden Romines on February 17, 1954 in Wichita Falls, TX, where he was raised and graduated from Rider High School. After moving to Woodward, OK, he met and married Delona Coon. They later returned to Wichita Falls and welcomed three daughters: Shannon, Nece, and Heather. After their separation, Russ and the girls relocated to the Dallas area, where he began his long career with Halliburton as a machinist and then computer programmer until his retirement in 2018. During this time he found love again and married Debra Lynn Romines, and embraced her children, James and Jill. Together, they settled in Lewisville,TX, building a life centered on love, family and hard work. Russ and Debby shared many years filled with love, respect, and joyful adventures until her passing in 2020.

Russ was a man of quiet faith who lived out his Christian values in his daily life and with prayers for his family. He provided a solid foundation for his family, instilling a sense of hard work and fostering togetherness through weekly meals, yearly family reunions and frequent games of Shanghai. He enjoyed road trips, playing games with his children and grandchildren, like chess, Catan, EverQuest and Empire Earth. In his younger years, he practiced karate, competed in chess tournaments, and began his life-long interest in computer programming. In recent years, he devoted himself to learning ways to improve his health and sharing that knowledge with any one who would listen, including his nurses and doctors.

Russ will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Shannon Romines and her children (Alex, Carol, and Reubin), Nece Zipper and husband Charles and their children (Charlotte, Toby, Nate, and Matthais), Heather Romines and her son (Loren and wife Giorgia), Jill Evans and husband Aaron and her children (Joshua and Jessica), and son James Caliendo and wife Ashlee and their children (Thomas, Daniel and wife Madison, Kamdyn, Stormee, Skylee, Blayze, Ryland) and grandson (Noah); as well as his loving siblings, Darlene Swim, Mona Ryan, and Doyle & Lisa Romines, and brother-in-law Lee Houston and his wife (Gail), along with an aunt and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Russ was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Lynn Romines, his parents, Noel and Branden Romines and his brother, J.R. Romines and his wife, Dee.

Russ will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his unwavering love, gentle guidance, and steadfast commitment to his family. Those he leaves behind will take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the stories they tell, the lessons he taught them, and the love he gave so freely.

Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.
Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and visitation from 3:30 pm - 5:00 p.m.

●     Memorial Service & Burial – Henrietta, TX
Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Davis Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Beginning with viewing at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial in Hope Cemetery.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation in Russ's name to their favorite charity, the Salvation Army, or the Gary Sinise Foundation.
