Rashaun Dean Gaston-Aigbivbalu was born in Etowah County, Alabama on February 22, 1977 and entered eternal rest on November 11, 2025.

At an early age, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she attended Advent Episcopal Day School, continued at John Carroll High Scholl, and graduated from Huffman High School in 1995.

She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in English from Tuskegee University, a Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Huston, Texas, and a master's degree in Speech Pathology from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas.

Rashaun accepted Jesus Christ early in life and remained a faithful member of Brownsville United Methodist Church. She joyfully sang in the choir, served on numerous committees, and showed a love of art and creativity that persisted throughout her life.

Rashaun's professional journey reflected her diverse talents and passions. She worked in law with the Oracle Corporation in Austin, Texas and later dedicated herself to serving others through healthcare as a speech pathologist.

She will be remembered for her compassion, warmth, and ability to make friends wherever she went. She cherished time with loved ones and touched countless lives with her kindness, grace, and welcoming spirit.

Rashaun's life was grounded in love for her family, and her community. Her journey took a beautiful turn when she moved to Huston, Texas for graduate school and met the love of her life, Ehimare Peter Aigbivbalu. Their connection was immediate and genuine, built on respect, partnership, and joy. Over more than two decades, they built a life of growth, laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering devotion.

Their wonderful children, Micah and Rachel, became the center of their world and the pride of Rashaun's heart. As a mother, Rashuan showed up emotionally, spiritually, and wholeheartedly. She celebrated every milestone, offered guidance with tenderness and wisdom, and encouraged her children to be strong, kind, and confident. Her love was fierce, steady, and life-shaping.

Her sudden passing has left the family in profound grief. Yet even in sorrow, comfort can be found in the love she planted in the hearts of all who knew her. Her laughter, gentle presence, thoughtful check-ins, and the ability to make others feel seen and supported will continue to guide her family for years to come.

Rashaun lived a life defined by joy, compassion, and service to others. She remembered every birthday, encouraged others through their struggles, and offered kindness even when she was tired herself. She taught through her example what it means to live a life of purpose and connection.

As we say goodbye, we do so with gratitude for the gift for her life and imprint she left behind. Though her earthly journey ended too soon, the beauty she brought into the world remains in every heart she touched.

She leaves to celebrate her memory her devoted husband, Ehimare Peter Agibivbalu; her beloved children, Micah and Rachel Aigbivbalu; her mother Rachel Gaston; her aunts Creola Lucas and Patricia McCullum (Donald(; her brother-in-law Lemuel Aigbivbalu (Deneen), her sisters-in-law Grace Odimayo (Rotimi), Dupe Sabanjo (Emmanuel), Ikaehota Nyowheoma, Bose Onaghinor (Osas), Ilobekheme Odiase (Ik), Odoekpen Nwanchuckwu (Emaka), Ebalulu Bakare (Chris), and Ebelose Aigbivbalu (Onos), along with a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Rashaun brought joy and love into the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of stature and grace, whose elegance brought hope and cheer to many. Her calm demeanor offered comfort to those in need, and her smile and laughter will be dearly missed. She poured tender love into her children, laying a firm foundation of truth and faith. She and Peter built a family rooted in God's love, and she always expressed for her mother, Rachel, who nurtured her into the woman she became. Though she left too soon, we rest in the assurance that God called her home in His perfect timing. We imagine her looking down upon us lovingly, reminding us that we will meet again in God's heavenly home. Rashaun was a mom, daughter, wife, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend whose bond will be cherished forever.
