Pieter Jacobs, 30, of Double Oak, was called home to continue his journey as a shepherd beside the Lord in Heaven on September 2, 2026.

Pieter was the kind of person you simply couldn't forget. He lived life to the fullest and never did anything halfway. He was funny, outgoing, and without a doubt the life of the party, but underneath all of that was one of the biggest and most giving hearts. Pieter loved deeply, and when you were one of his people, you knew it. He would quite literally give you the shirt off his back and would go without before allowing someone he loved to do the same.

More than anything, Pieter loved his family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandson and friend.

He shared an especially sweet bond with his niece, Adaline, his "princess," whom he loved beyond words. He was fiercely loyal to the people closest to him and was always there to lend a hand, make someone laugh, check in, or simply make an ordinary day a little better.

Pieter was happiest when he was surrounded by the people he loved and doing the things that made life extraordinary. He loved spending time on the lake with his dad and friends, riding side-by-sides, taking trips, playing poker, or keeping up with his interests of FIFA, American football, Formula 1. If there was an adventure to be had, Pieter was usually ready for it and chances are, he was already figuring out how to get everyone else involved.

Pieter had a way of making people feel loved and included. His humor could light up a room, his generosity knew no limits, and his presence made life more exciting. He loved his people wholeheartedly and never hesitated to show it. The memories, laughter, adventures, and love he gave so freely will live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Pieter is survived by his mother, Miempie Jacobs; his father, Pieter Jacobs Sr.; his sister, Luzanne Perkins; his brother-in-law, Travis Perkins; and his beloved niece, Adaline Grace Perkins, and grandmother Winnie Van Der Merwe and her husband Ernst Van Der Merwe along with many family members and friends who loved him dearly.

A service to celebrate Pieter's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at Northview Baptist Church, 1981 N. Mill St., Lewisville, Texas 75057.
