Pete Tijerina was born in Cuero, Texas on January 5th, 1936 to Felipa and Felipe Tijerina. After graduating from Cuero High School, he enlisted and served in the Air Force. He was stationed at Castle Air Force Base in California where he worked on radar systems for fighter jets. After the Air Force, he worked at Collins Radio for a few years prior to a long career at Xerox where he became a senior field technician.

Pete passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2023 at the age of 87 after a battle with cancer and kidney failure. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda May Boxall, his brother Adam Tijerina, and his parents Felipa and Felipe Tijerina. He is survived by his two sons, Mark P Boxall, and Peter J Tijerina, and his grandson Alexander P Tijerina.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice as a testament to Pete's generosity and giving nature.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6th 2024 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Visitation will begin at 9:00 followed by a 10:00 am service.
