Paul Bradford Peters, 81, died after a battle with congestive heart failure and dementia on June 14, 2024. He was born the youngest child to Louis and Eva Peters on August 21, 1942 in Bangor, Maine and grew up in Carmel, Maine. In 1961, he graduated from Brewer High School and went on to graduate from Husson College in Bangor where he studied accounting. Paul made a career working for the government, first with the state of New York, and then with the United States federal government where he worked as an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency until he retired in 2003.

Paul met his wife Ramona Lambert in high school and later married on June 27, 1964. The couple moved to Binghamton, New York in 1966. While in New York, Ramona gave birth to their children, daughter Dawne in 1967 and son Seth in 1980. Paul's work moved the family to Flower Mound, Texas in 1988. Paul was involved with the Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Boy Scouts of America, and Empty Nesters at Vista Ridge United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, book collecting, sudoku, and spending time with his grandchildren. In 2023, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and dementia.

Paul is survived by daughter Dawne Peters-Zlinsky and son-in-law Steve of Flower Mound, son Seth and daughter-in-law Rebecca of Houston, grandchildren Zorie, Juliana, and Jacob, sister-in-law Gail Spooner of Maine, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Lou, his niece Leslie, and twin grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas at 11am on Monday, June, 24, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
