The McManus family regretfully announces that Patrick James McManus has left this life here on earth.

Pat (or Paddy) as he was known to those who loved him, was born in Los Angeles, California on November 13, 1960. His youth was spent besting his older brothers Mike and Jeff in swimming, making his sisters Lisa and Jenny laugh, and bringing joy and mischief to his friends. His childhood was filled with music, laughter, adventure, and the love of his extended family. Pat attended college at Long Beach State University where he majored in finance, minored in accounting, but most notably lived with his best friends John and Danny and undoubtedly had the time of their lives.

Pat was the proud father of two wonderful daughters and the three of them share an incredible bond. They left sunny California to make a home in Irving, Texas but Pat's dedication to the Rams never wavered and his music tastes retained the west coast influence of his youth. He was a model of dedication and commitment to his family, proudly watching as his girls developed their passions, explored their world, and followed their dreams. Any update on his own life would always include the latest accomplishment or anecdote about his daughters. His weekends and days off were reserved for his family. He is remembered by all who know and love him for his infectious smile, his quiet wit, and sly humor.

Pat is survived by daughters Caitlin (Rookey), Brynn McManus, sons-in-law Benjamin and Alexis, and grandson Samuel Patrick. He is missed dearly by his siblings Lisa, Michael, Jeffrey, and Jennifer McManus, his 12 nieces and nephews, 10 cousins, and countless extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Armand and Judy (Althouse) McManus who have undoubtedly welcomed him into his next life along with beloved aunts Ginger and Rosie and grandmothers Carmen and Ruth. Pat is remembered by all who know and love him for his infectious smile, his quiet wit, and sly humor.

A celebration of his life will be held in his home state of California in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages all who knew and loved Pat to speak his name, share his memories, and to keep his spirit alive for his family.
