Orville Dean Sines, 99, of Lantana, Texas, passed away on March 31, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in West Virginia, Orville served 20 years in the military as an electronic technician. Following his service, he worked for thirteen years with the Panama Canal Zone Commission.

Orville shared 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Belcy Sines. He is survived by his daughter, Marylyn Sines; his granddaughter Ariana Tashakkori, with whom he shared a particularly close bond; and his son-in-law Abbas Tashakkori. From his first marriage to Helen Ieva, he is also survived by four children — Sheila Latronica, Sharon Macklem, Linda Williams, and Brenda Owens — 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Belcy Sines; his former wife, Helen Ieva; his son, Orville Dean Sines, Jr.; and his grandson, Albert Latronica.

Known for his quiet strength, deep kindness, and sense of humor, Orville brought warmth and light to those around him. He had a lasting appreciation for music, enjoyed working with his hands, and took great satisfaction in repairing televisions and radios.

A funeral service will be held on April 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Argyle United Methodist Church.
