Norma Elaine Talbert Eltzholtz, 61, of Lewisville, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 23, 2023, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bill, sons Nathan and wife Allison Eltzholtz, and Mitchell Eltzholtz; her three granddaughters Emerson, Eleanor and Marlee Eltzholtz; sister, Danielle DeCarlo and husband Tony, brother, Jeff Talbert and wife Myra and sister, Rachel Marek.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lelia Cordelia Ford and father, Hubert Alton Talbert.

Norma was born in Sedalia, Missouri on February 8, 1962 and grew up in Cole Camp, Green Ridge, Lincoln and Sedalia, Missouri.

She attended Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia and studied at Brookhaven Community College and Vol State University.

She married Bill in 1982 and they welcomed their boys, Nathan in 1989 and Mitchell in 1996, who were the joys of her life. They made several moves around the country before settling in Lewisville, Texas in 1995.

Norma worked at Mary Kay cosmetics and throughout her time as a consultant she inspired others to see the best in themselves. She admired Mary Kay Ash and was particularly influenced by her famous words: "What you believe, remember, you can achieve." The word "believe" was very special to Norma and it continually pointed her to the Lord and to see the best in people and situations.

She also taught at New Hope Learning Center. During her time there, she cared for many children, and at the same time, developed lifelong friendships with their families and the other teachers. The children she taught left a lasting imprint on her heart.

She was a follower of God and believed in helping others. Her family and friends would go to her for comfort and prayers.

One of her favorite scriptures was Micah 6:8: "Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly."

She looked forward to reading scripture in Sunday service, ensuring she had the biblical names pronounced correctly.

Norma was known for her quick-witted humor, infectious laugh and generous spirit.

Every person that came in contact with her loved how special she made them feel.

Her service will be at First United Methodist Church in Lewisville, Texas on July 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. Her resting place will be at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
