Nancy Jean Harlass, 86, of Lewisville, TX passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025.

Eldest child of Karl and Elizabeth (Lehmann) Everts, Nancy was born in Milwaukee, WI on Oct. 4, 1938. She graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1957. She worked in church and/or parochial school administration throughout her life.

Anyone who met Nancy was always amazed at the strength of her faith and the depth of her love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She volunteered in many Lutheran churches over the years with some of her most passionate ministries being Hands of Friendship, Stephen Ministries and Altar Guild. She loved being a Sunday School teacher and spent the last ten years participating in Lamb of God Lutheran Church's card ministry, handwriting birthday and anniversary cards until her recent illness affected the use of her hand.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul Everts, sister Linda Liebelt, brother-in-law Gregg Zancanaro, and brother- and sister-in-law Hans and Ilse Mueller.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hans Harlass; children, Mark (Sherry) Harlass, David (Michele) Harlass, Julie (Jake) Jacobs, and Steve Harlass; grandchildren, Rachel (Young) Son, Mark Daniel Harlass, Mathew Harlass, Elizabeth (Justin) Lowe, Amanda (Kevin) Graham, Chase (Kristen) Jacobs, Joshua (Monica) Jacobs and Bradley (Ashlyn) Jacobs; siblings, Dennis (Cindy) Everts, Keith (Mary) Everts, Janet Zancanaro, Janice (Alan) Gerbitz and Stephan (Ellen) Grams; 10 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Lamb of God Lutheran Church general fund to be used for Hands of Friendship, Stephen Ministries, Card Ministry and Sunday School.
