Michael Raymond Shearin, 76, of Hebron, Texas, laid his hardworking hands to rest on May 8, 2026.

Mike was born in Temple, Texas, on September 17, 1949. He proudly served in the United States Army from December 2, 1969, to November 24, 1971, achieving the rank of SP-4 Honors Marksman and receiving the National Defense Service Medal.

Mike dedicated many years to providing for his family through hard work and commitment. He worked at ST Microelectronics from 1980 to 2010, then at DFW airport from 2010 to 2013 before retiring.

Mike enjoyed fishing, working on antique cars and trucks, and loved his Harley motorcycles. He also had a special love for his pets- especially his donkeys and chickens- but above all else, he loved his family deeply. He always kept everyone on the edge of their seat with his humor, jokes, and playful pranks. He cherished family vacations and especially loved cruising during retirement with his wife of 53 years, Shirley Shearin, close friends, and most recently with his immediate family. Over the years, Mike enjoyed more than 30 cruises. His favorite movie was Forrest Gump.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Shearin; his brother, John Wayne Shearin; and his sisters, Charlotte Shearin, Renee Bowery, and Carolyn Clark.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Shearin; daughter, Gina Olsen and husband Bob Olsen; son, Steve Shearin and wife Lisa Shearin; grandchildren Aubrey Olsen, Collin Olsen and wife Monica Olsen, and Stephen Malinasky; great-granddaughter Brielle Castillo; and a soon-to-be great-grandson to Collin and Monica. He is also survived by a large extended family and a close group of longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association and/or First Baptist Church of Hebron.
