Michael R. Reynolds, 64, beloved son of Jack R. Reynolds and Sylvia L. (Varner) Reynolds has departed this Earth and his soul is now at peace.

Mike was born in Dallas, Texas on July 3, 1961, and lived his whole life in or near Lewisville where his father was also raised. He was proud of his family's deep roots in Denton County and once lived on Sam Reynolds Road which was named after his great-grandfather.

Mike was an athletic young man who greatly enjoyed playing football and basketball, but he was happiest on the water, either swimming, boating, skiing, or fishing every chance he got.

Mike also loved to travel. As a child, he and his family vacationed throughout the United States in various recreational campers, creating thousands of indelible memories. As an adult traveler, he never met a beach he didn't like.

After graduating from high school in 1979, Mike began a long, successful career in construction, working for companies such as Greater Metroplex Interiors (GMi), ICI Construction, Inc., and The Beck Group. In 2017, Mike's career came to an abrupt end after an on-the-job back injury from which he never fully recovered.

Mike was greeted in heaven by his father Jack Reynolds, his grandparents Irene and Abb Reynolds, Burl Varner, and Frances and Bob Slaughter, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his best friend Troy Hays.

Mike is survived by his mother, Sylvia Reynolds, his brother Rusty Reynolds and sister-in-law Terri Reynolds, his sister Robyn Hadley and brother-in-law Terry Hadley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Location: Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067

Following the Celebration of Life Service, Mike will be laid to rest beside his paternal grandparents at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
