Michael (Mike) David Cohen passed away unexpectedly October 2, 2024, shortly after celebrating his 57th birthday. He was born in Garland, Texas to Donny and Sandra Cohen on September 7, 1967.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Dawn, his father Donny, and his son Tyler.

Mike was also blessed with many loving relatives including sister in-law Donna Rees and husband Gary, nephews Dominic and Nicholas Rampone, aunt Sally Cohen and Cousin Heather Perry.  He is also survived by his sister Michelle Hubbard and husband Glen, grandson Jackson, as well as other aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Cohen and sister, Melissa Reed.

Mike was employed by IES Communications for 15 years and enjoyed spending time with his many friends and coworkers.

In his spare time, Mike enjoyed his many hobbies' including leather working, creating many custom tooled leather pieces, fishing & hunting.  Dawn's ringtone for Mike on her phone was Luke Bryan's "Hunting, Fishing and Loving Every day" because it most accurately describes his other hobbies and the joy they brought him. He was an active member of the Coppell Bass Club and enjoyed spending time with friends in the group as well.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home located at 740 S Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas 75067.

Mike's Celebration of Life will also be at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home Monday, October 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

Following Monday's Service, friends and family will gather at Mike's favorite restaurant and his "Home away from home" Mama's Daughter's Diner, located at 1288 W Main Street, Lewisville, Texas 75067.

In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to Cast for Kids and the American Diabetes Association.
