Michael Vernon Baugh, age 71, passed away on January 2, 2025.  Born on February 23, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, Michael was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lawton Vernon Baugh and Margaret Ruth Tesche.

Michael is survived by his brother, Richard Baugh. His children also survive him: Christina Barney (and husband Aaron), Michelle Bettarelli (and husband Rick), Audrey Sabin, and Dustin Baugh; his grandchildren: Laurel Heidt, Kara Fisher, Andrew Barney, Jacob Barney, Steven Sabin, Cassie Barney, Margaret Sabin, and Joshua Sabin; and his great-grandchildren: Kaden Seitz, Kinsley Dickard, Finn Mitchell, and Heinrich Heidt.

From an early age, Michael displayed a passion for creativity and discovery. He built rockets and model airplanes, explored photography, and immersed himself in chemistry sets. A talented pianist, he filled rooms with beautiful melodies that reflected his love of music. Michael found joy in movies, solace in his yard work, and a sense of purpose in the work he dedicated the last 11 years of his career to at The Boeing Company.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6800 Anderson Dr., The Colony, TX 75056. The family invites all who knew Michael to join in honoring his extraordinary life.

Michael's warmth, creativity, and enduring kindness have left a legacy that will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
