Mary Margaret (Manosky) Wright was born to David Manosky and Dorothy Oscarson on November 16, 1942 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023 at 12:07 PM, in Carrolton, Texas. Her childhood was spent in Bruce, and it was there that she excelled in her musical pursuits at home and at a catholic highschool, from which she graduated at the top of her class in 1960. She valued education and attended a variety of universities. She initially attended a chiropractic school in Iowa and later enrolled at The University of Superior, Wisconsin where she studied the organ. She ultimately completed a bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Minnesota in 1967. From there Mary pursued a meaningful career as a Speech Language Pathologist and was able to work in a variety of locations, including on a Native American Reservation, and in various other schools in Minnesota and Texas. Throughout her life, she was a devoted christian and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She found joy in serving in her church community and in contributing her musical talents through performing and regularly volunteering to play the organ for church services.

Mary's true passion was music, and she was proficient in the organ, saxophone, clarinet, cello, harmonica, viola, ukulele, guitar, and in her favorite instruments- the accordion and piano. She loved to share her talents through performing and teaching music, and emphasized musical education in her family. Due to her diligence and involvement, her children and many of her grandchildren are accomplished musicians and have had the opportunity of performing in their communities on a frequent basis, and in other locations throughout the world. Known for her incredible ability to lead and inspire others, Mary's legacy lives on through the projects and activities she put together and carried out in her church and local communities. She was known to go far out of her way to serve and help others, and there were no limits to whom she would love and accept as a part of her family. She thoroughly enjoyed being a mother and grandma, and showed her love by being involved in their activities and projects.

Always hard-working and busy with at least one project at any given time, Mary also had an incredible talent for sewing, knitting, and crochet, and was known to create elaborate pieces which she would give away as acts of love. Her legacy lives on in the elaborate dresses, quilts, and other pieces she gave away to her family members and friends. She is also an accomplished author and is remembered most for her novel, Bobbi, Father of the Finish White-Tailed Deer, and her instructional music series, Anyone Can Play Music.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, David Manosky and Dorothy Oscarson; her first husband, Jerry Sharp; and her brother, David. She is survived by her siblings, Susan, Dorothy, Davideen, and Julianne. She is also survived by her children, Betsy, her husband, Bobby, and her children: Julia, Sharla, James and his wife, Taylor, Jaron, Daniel, and Victoria; Heidi, her husband, Pablo, and her children: Lyenne, and Gwyenne and her husband Kyle; Michael, his wife, Shannon, and their children: Amy and her husband, Case, Matthew, Andrew, Amanda, Carissa, Jonathan, and Emily; James, his wife, Dulce, and their children: Arianna and Maximus; and Kelsey. She leaves behind a total of 17 beloved grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Jamie, Audrey, Logan, Bodhi, and the last 2 who are on the way, Evelyn, and a little boy whose name is yet to be determined. Mary's family members will forever remember her as a loving and devoted grandmother who lived a life of service and kindness.

The funeral service will be held on July 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at 6800 Anderson Dr, The Colony, TX 75096.
