My mom, Mary Quidon (Wilson) Nickell, lovingly known as "Donna" by everyone, was born on November 9, 1958, to Mary Lou (Denton) Wilson and Kenneth Warren Wilson in Fort Worth, Texas. Donna passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 66, with me, her son, and her sister Dena by her side.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Warren Wilson; her mother, Mary Lou (Denton) Wilson; her half-brother, Travis Wilson; her brother, Kenneth Deryl Wilson; and her husband, George Nickell.

Donna is survived by her sister, Dena (Wilson) Dannelley of Rockwall; me, her son, Chris Broyles, my husband, Rob Borenstein (her son-in-law), and our son (her beloved grandson), Harrison Finn Broyles Borenstein of Denton; her stepdaughter, Sonya (Nickell) Obennoskey of Eustace; as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Donna had a heart of gold and was deeply devoted to helping those in need. At her core, she was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most compassionate people you could ever meet. She loved a good party, but more than that, she cherished spending meaningful time with the people she held dear. While she could be a little hard-headed and ornery at times, it was a reflection of the resilience she built from living a life full of challenges. Donna was a survivor, a tough and determined fighter who faced life's hardships with courage and grace.

She loved God, her family, and her friends, and she found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, music, bowling, playing poker, pool, and Yahtzee, as well as crafting, painting, drawing, writing, reading the Bible, and caring for animals—especially cats and chickens. A true country girl at heart, Donna dreamed of her cowboy to carry her off into the sunset, a dream she fulfilled when she found her husband George.

Donna was a truly special soul who will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th, at 11:00 AM at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, located at 602 N Old Orchard Ln, Lewisville, TX 75077.
