Mary Angela Timmons, 69, passed away on February 9 in Lewisville, Texas. Mary was born in Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland on February 24, 1954. She is a graduate of Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Maureen Timmons.

She is survived by, and will be deeply missed by her partner Deborah Watson, her siblings Teresa (and Jim) Byrne, Carmel Bollard, Martin Timmons, Sean Timmons, and Gerard (and Liz) Timmons. Her nieces and nephews: Lauren, Susan, Victoria, Katie, Louise, David, Stephen, Dylan and Daniel.

Mary worked for the Irish Government prior to emigrating to the U.S.

She worked as a software developer and information technology consultant for various companies in numerous states in the U.S., including New York, Maine, Iowa, Nebraska, Alaska and Texas. She received several honors and recognition of achievement from her employers.

Her talents and personal interests included playing the accordion, golfing, reading, storytelling, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. She was also grounded in her spirituality. Mary will be remembered as kind, fun-loving, generous, good-humored and quick-witted. She was often the life of the party.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 2p.m. Services will be held at  Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX. There will also be a special service and Celebration of Life in her homeland of Ireland at a later date.

Mary supported the American Cancer Society and the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to either organization to honor Mary Timmons.

Her family and close friends wish to extend their sincere thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and the wonderful staff at Breezewood Home (assisted living) in Lewisville, Texas.
