Mary Ruth Lewis, Born June 27th, 1922 (103 ½ years of age) peacefully went to be with our Lord on Monday morning, January 19th, 2026, at Medical City Hospital, in Lewisville, TX with her loving Daughter, Sandy and Granddaughter, Tiffany Davis by her side.

Mary was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother, She was a woman of deep faith and was a member of the Southwayside Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas for many years. Mary had an optimism and love of life that carried her forward in her life that she passed on to others. She never met a stranger and was loved by all that met her. She was known to most as "Mom". You never saw her without a smile that would light up any room.

Mary was raised in a small town in East Tennessee. Then after meeting the love of her life, resided in Memphis TN, Fort Worth, Dallas and at the time of her passing in Lewisville, Texas with her cherished Daughter, Sandy Lewis.

Mary devoted much of her life to her role as a homemaker; creating a loving and welcoming home for her family. She was an excellent southern cook and baker. Later in life, Mary had a career with G.C. Murphy Company at Seminary South in Ft. Worth as a Sales Supervisor where she retired after 20+ years.

Mary loved to travel and visited all but 10 or 11 U. S. States, mostly with her Daughter, Sandy. She cherished spending time with family and friends and loved to entertain by preparing large meals and ensuring everyone was stuffed before leaving.

Mary leaves behind many to cherish her loving memory.  Her Daughter, Sandy Lewis and Daughter-in-laws, Jane Lewis and Leslie Lewis. Four beloved Grandchildren, Chris Lewis of Las Vegas, Vickie Morgan Keys of  Munford, TN, Melissa Trenaman of Morrison, CO and Tiffany Lewis Davis of Alvord, TX, eleven Great Grandchildren and five Great-Great Grandchildren.  She was a loving presence in the lives of several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews as well as many close friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her beloved Sons, Bill and Harold Lewis; her Husband, Arvie Lewis, her Siblings, Bill Alexander and Edna Autrey and her Parents, John and Bertie Alexander.
