Mary Louise Cameron was born May 15, 1930, on the island of Oahu, Territory of Hawaii and passed away peacefully in her Highland Village, Texas home on September 4, 2024, with family at her bedside.

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, 1st Lt. Charles Ray Spath, her second husband of nearly 64 years, Brig. Gen. Lyle W. Cameron, her parents, Col. Robert and Gladys Bremer, only sibling Shirley L. Wade, her son Jay Robert Cameron and daughter-in-law Vera Cameron.

Mary traveled extensively during her life, but what she took pleasure in most was being a homemaker, military spouse and hosting parties. She was known for singing along to her husband's piano playing to entertain guests.  After retiring and moving from Ankara, Türkiye to Highland Village, Texas, Mary spent time enjoying her bowling league, attending activities of the two grandsons who lived nearby and taking her annual trip to Las Vegas with her daughters.

Mary is survived by daughter Cheryl Rae (Spath) Sader of Oakland Park, FL; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Peter Rietzl of Ogden, Utah, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Mike Mixson of Lewisville, Texas, her 4 grandchildren: Amy Rae Benitez and husband Brian, Paul Rietzl and wife Katherine, Cameron Mixson and Conner Mixson and 4 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 a.m.

She will be interred with her husband at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
