Martha Kay Williams, 85-year-old resident of Lewisville, TX died Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born in March of 1939, in Macomb, Illinois to George and Elizabeth Webster. She was raised in Macomb where she met her husband Lloyd Williams. They were married in 1959 and celebrated their 65th anniversary just last week. They lived in multiple states including Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, South Dakota, Missouri, and Oklahoma before settling down in Lewisville, TX. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, and homemaker.

Kay (as everyone called her) worked in the First Baptist Church Lewisville nursery for years. This also gave her the advantage of caring for her six grandchildren while at church. Kay and Lloyd loved camping and were very active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and Kay even spent one summer camping at Philmont High Adventure Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Kay and Lloyd shared multiple weeks and weekends in their fifth wheeler camping with the children and grandchildren at various parks throughout the nation.

Kay was always wanting to serve. She loved having family at her house for birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. As well as Sunday dinners where family members and their friends could join after church. Kay would go out of her way to ensure that everyone had a full plate and a lot of fun visiting at her house. We would constantly have to remind her to sit and relax with us. But her joy was watching us enjoy being together.

Kay's sudden death was a shock to us, but her immediate presence with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has the angels singing. The family will miss Kay greatly, but celebrate that she is now rejoicing in heaven.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Elizabeth, and brother Kenny. She is survived by: Her brother George Webster and wife Cindy of Sandwich, IL, and her brother Rick Webster and wife Judy of Bardolph, IL. Her husband Lloyd, and their three children and six grandchildren: daughter Cindy Purvis and husband Phillip of Lewisville and their children Daniel and Luke Purvis of Highland Village
daughter Cathy Harlan and husband Michael of Lewisville and their children Ashley Harlan of Lewisville, and Andrew Harlan and wife Kelly of Corinth, TX son Al Williams and wife Tana of Weatherford, TX and their children Will Williams of Denton, TX, and Alex Walters and husband Connor of Ft. Worth, TX who are expecting Kay's first great grandchild due in July.

On Thursday, April 25, a private service to celebrate Kay's life was shared by the family followed by burial at the Flower Mound Presbyterian Church cemetery.
