A Life Well-Lived

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Stokes, who left us peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on October 19th in Fort Worth, Texas, Mark was a beloved son, brother, uncle and stepfather.

A Legacy of Love and Dedication

Mark's last two years have very difficult for him and he had to adjust to many life changes. Despite these life changes he still enjoyed sharing a joke with his family and the employees at dialysis. But he shared the best of himself with his mother who was his biggest supporter. She was the one he turned to when he was afraid or sad, and she brought him comfort. This bond between them was unbreakable and both of their lives were enriched by this beautiful connection.

Cherished Memories

Mark is survived by his mother, Lavonne Stokes, Brothers Mike Stokes (Kim Stokes), David Stokes (Vickie Stokes), Laurie Stokes-Bell (Don Bell) and his nieces and nephews, Brittany Tranas, Donatas Tranas, Katie Sprouse, Michael Sprouse, Zachary Stokes, Victoria Stokes, Chris Stokes, Robin Stokes, Brandon Stokes, Adam Sirak, Matthew Talbot, Autumn Satterwhite, Colin Talbot, Jessica Talbot, Devin Talbot, Margie Talbot, Emily Bell and Brett Ball and step-sons Shawn and Scott Quinn. He was loved by many great nieces and nephews.

Mark was proceeded in death by his wife, Deborah Stokes, father, Robert Stokes and sister and brother-in-law, Judi and Mike Talbot.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Mark's life will beheld on August 2nd at 11:30 am at Faith Lutheran Flower Mound. The family invites all who knew Mark to join in honoring the incredible life he led and the legacy he leaves behind.

If you wish to donate the family requests that donations, be made in Mark's memory to Faith Lutheran Church or Humane Society.

Mark will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. The impact he had on those around him will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
