Marilyn Yvonne Tuxhorn (Boyer) passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, in Lewisville, Texas, at the age of 80.  She was born on December 20, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas and like many, made her way to Texas as fast as she could.  Yvonne dedicated over 40 years of service to the government before retiring from the Social Security Administration in 2004.

Yvonne was a vibrant member of the Red Hat Society and found joy in her retirement years through reading, attending Bible study, and indulging in her love of shopping.  She was a passionate animal lover, cherishing all her fur babies throughout her life.  Yvonne was a devout member of the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church of Flower Mound, where she worshiped while living in Highland Village.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Phil Tuxhorn, daughter Kim Dixon, and five grandchildren:  Austin, Cole, and Jordan Tuxhorn, and Katelynn and Emily Dixon.  Yvonne is survived by her sister Naomi Matous, brother-in-law Jim Matous, nephew Steve Matous, and niece Teresa Ziegler.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernice Boyer of Wichita, KS.

The service to celebrate Yvonne's life will be held at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas, on September 14, 2024 at 10am.  Mulkey Funeral home is located at 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX 75067 (972) 436-4581.  Mulkey Mason Funeral Home will be assisting with arrangements, honoring a life richly lived and deeply loved.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be sent to Safe Place for Pets https://www.safeplacepets.org which is where her beloved dog Seal found a new family.
