Marilyn Marie Purefoy

Marilyn, a cherished mother, devoted daughter, remarkable sister, loving wife, doting auntie, compassionate caregiver, fun teacher, unforgettable friend and precious child of God. Born on August 13, 1965 in Jacksonville, Arkansas, joined her Lord and Savior on May 18th, 2026.

Anyone who got to know Marilyn, would learn of her love for God, animals, Star Wars, and her family. Her enthusiasm for knowledge, museums, art, and community service was contagious. Marilyn's gorgeous smile was just a hint of the beautiful light God had placed within her. She had many passions, and an endless list of talents. It did not matter if she was in a sewing room, classroom, wood shop, craft room or a kitchen. If Marilyn was overseeing it, something spectacular and memorable was going to be the outcome. Marilyn was not one to be known for complaining. She counted her blessings daily and knew there were others who had less. Marilyn was always trying to spread God's love, joy and to be of service wherever she went. She was an advocate for animals, children, nature, indigenous tribes, and anyone she felt was not being heard. The world shines a bit less to those who were able to have her in their lives. To say she will be missed is an understatement. So instead we will rejoice that such a gift was placed in our lives, no matter how brief the time feels.

Her legacy of love, integrity and compassion will live on through her children Jason Purefoy II, Rabecca Crowley, and her son-in-law Wes Crowley. Those left to treasure her memory are her mother-Beverly Bratton, brother-Frank Mryrick, sisters- Madalyn Myrick, Margaret McCasland, brother-in-law John McCasland II, her nieces, nephews and their children.

A memorial service will be held June 18, 2026 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home located at 740 S. Edmonds Ln Lewisville, Texas 75067 at 10:00 A.M.
