Our beloved mother, Marilyn Jean Hill Adcock, passed into glory at age 94 on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 4pm.  A resident of Highland Village, Texas, and former resident of Nicholasville, Ky.  she passed from this life at her home, surrounded by her children.

Marilyn was born on October 7, 1929 in Graham, Kentucky.  She is preceded in death by her husband Jack K. Adcock on March 10, 2010.  Also preceding her in death are her parents, William Fred Hill and Edith Evelyn Todd Hill of Depoy, Kentucky, two brothers, William Hill of Evansville, IN and Edwin Hill of Depoy, Ky.  She is survived by one sister, Necia Finch (David) of Lawrenceburg, Ky,  Also surviving are her children, Wallace Hill  (Kris) Strader of Princeton, Texas and Lou Anna (Steve) Osborne of Highland Village, Texas, and stepdaughters Alison Strobel of Jeffersonville, IN and Marcia Miller of Sacramento, CA. Eight grandsons, 24 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, in-laws and nieces that she loved dearly.  Always by her side were her "fur girls" Lily, and Aggie Jean, and loved from afar by fur girl Dazi (Nurse Nancy) of Princeton, TX.  Marilyn had many dear friends in both Kentucky and Texas…and she was called "Mom" by many.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas, former founding member of Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky and long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, where she was active in choir, Junior camp and Youth choir trips.

Marilyn was a homemaker.  After her husband Jack passed in 2010 she went on an adventure and moved to Texas with her daughter and son in law.  She had a mother in law suite and was a lively addition to the family.  She had a unique wit and used it daily until she became unable near the end.  She played the piano completely by ear and always said she couldn't wait to get to heaven so she would know what the black keys were for!   She will be missed every day until we see her again in glory!

Marilyn will be sent by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Tx to Kentucky for burial.  Funeral service will be at Milward Southland in Lexington on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11am, with burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Ky. with her husband Jack.  A memorial service will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11am.
