Marie, fondly known by friends and family as Zette, 84, passed away on November 24, 2025 at Presbyterian Hospital, Plano, TX. Memorial Services to be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 3 at Valley Ridge Baptist Church in Lewisville, TX. Visitation on Dec 3 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. for friends and family.

Marie was born in Leogani, Haiti, known for its natural beauty, including mountains, rivers, and beaches. She immigrated to New York in 1981, leaving her 2 children in the care of her relatives and finally moved to Texas to live with her daughter Yolene.

She looked forward to dressing up and worship Sunday services at Valley Ridge and visit with her church community. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas at Yolene's house is a treat with Zette's home cooked Haitian dishes, Creole music and well decorated home. She took pride of her daughter's accomplishments, and loved his son Oswald and grandchildren, Bryan and Avery.
