Lonnie Lee Jones, a beloved son, husband, brother, friend, and disciple passed away at the age of 58 on Sunday, 1/28/24.    Although we mourn his passing, we find solace in knowing that he has gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Lonnie's life was filled with purpose and selflessness.  In all his years, Lonnie never complained about anything.  Instead, he embraced each day with gratitude and a positive spirit. He understood that life's challenges are opportunities for personal growth, and he choose to rely on his faith and love for Jesus Christ to guide him through difficult times.

Lonnie's love extended beyond himself to an incredible woman named Kim.  Lonnie met Kim when he was 32 and was immediately smitten.  Lonnie saw past her disabilities into a remarkable woman.  He stood by her side, and never wavered to provide her care, unending support, and continuous love.  Their marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment, and an inspiration to all those who knew them.  They were married for 26 years.

During the past 17 years, he devoted himself as a Network Engineer at Lockheed Martin, using his skills to contribute to the advancement of technology.  He was a valued member of the team and was known for his dedication and professionalism.  Lonnie's colleagues will remember him as hardworking and a knowledgeable engineer.  More than his professional accomplishments, Lonnie will be remembered for his servant heart, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Kim, his father, Robert Jones, his sister Lori Lei Smith and brother-in-law Carey Smith.  He was also an uncle to Lori Lei and Carey's children, Jason Smith and Justin Smith along with their wives and children.

Lonnie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.  His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories he created.

A service will be held 3pm, Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas.  Lonnie will be laid to rest in Burns Cemetery, in Burns Oregon, at 1pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
