Linda Sue Ricketts "Rivers", age 82, passed away in Denton, Texas on Sunday, December 8, 2024.  Linda was born in Dallas, Texas on August 27, 1942, to Atlas Wade and Bertha Mae Rivers.  Linda was married to Jerry D. Hurley, Sr. (deceased) and John F. Ricketts, also deceased.

Linda retired from the U.S. Post Office.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, history, reading, and spending time with family and her grandkids.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, John Ricketts, her parents, Atlas w. Rivers and Bertha M. McDaniel; her daughter, Sherry W. Hurley; brothers, Gary Rivers and David Rivers and her sister, Waydean Porter.

Linda is survived by her sons Jerry D. Hurley, Jr. and his wife, Monica of Corinth, Texas and Jeffery L. Hurley and his wife, Ruth of Williamsburg, Virginia and daughter, Alice Maelissa of Pottsboro, Texas.  She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Rivers of Corinth, Texas, sister, Diane Lowrimore of Krum, Texas, and sister, Elizabeth Lump of Pearland, Texas, twelve grandkids: Jamison, Brandon, Magan, Stephanie, Cameron, Jennifer, Kathern, Rebecca, Josh, Faith, Ben and Hannah, thirty-three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews' other family members and friends.
